<p>Congratulations to Bill Power who had a a great result at the Tallaght International Salon awarded a Photographic Society of America Gold medal, a Federation Internationale d&#8217;Art Photographique Silver Medal, three Judge&#8217;s Medals, closely followed by a FIAP Gold medal in 3rd OIympic Photo Circuit 2015&#8242; in Greece with his image &#8216;Girl with a Twist&#8221; in the [&hellip;]</p>

<p>All club members are invited to join us in Doneraile Park on Sunday next 25th October we will be meeting in the car park at 11am and you can stay for as long as you like, but we will have a walkabout for about 2 hrs with some of us there to advise you on [&hellip;]</p>

<p>The club&#8217;s annual general meeting will be held on Monday, 19th October at 8pm. All members are urged to attend the meeting and to take part in decisions that will advance the club in the year ahead. The main business of the AGM will be to review the huge progress made by the club in the [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Members of Cork Camera Group who recently achieved IPF Distinctions will be visiting Mallow Camera Club on Monday night next, 12th October, to show us their distinctions panels. The visiting photographers will include  Vincent Kelly, LIPF; Paul Flynn, AIPF; Dan Geary, AIPF and Niall Brownen, AIPF. Each will talk about their panels and the process that [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Club chairman Bill Power has won a prestigeous Swansea Gold Medal from the 11th Swansea International Salon, where his new acceptances brought his total acceptances in international salons to over 1,000 in a little over two years. Bill&#8217;s winner was &#8216;Girl with a Twist&#8217; which was awarded a Swansea Gold Medal. <p>IRENE FROY returns to Mallow Camera Club next Monday at 8pm where she will give a talk showing some of her most recent and successful images. Her workshop for the club last Monday was attended by over thirty photographers from as far away as Louth, Dublin, Wexford, Clare, Waterford, Tipperary, Kerry and local camera club [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Neily Curtin swept the boards with a selection of photographs that left his opposition standing during this weekend&#8217;s All-Ireland Tractor Pulling Championships in county Limerick. Neily took home four medals, a silver cup AND a perpetual plaque all in one go. The competition was judged by John Grimes of Limerick and District Camera Club. Neily [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Three more international salon awards have been won by Bill Power in the past week, bringing his total of international wins in a week to eight (see previous posts). Bill won two awards in the 36th Northern Counties International Salon in the UK.  &#8216;A Room for Ellen&#8217; won the award for Best Mono Portrait, for which it was [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Sunday&#8217;s planned photo trip in the Mallow area has been postponed because of a rather dreadful weather forecast. There&#8217;s no point in getting your gear or yourselves unneccessarily wet. We&#8217;ll organise a new date as soon as possible. See you all on Monday night.</p>

<p>Club chairman, Bill Power FIPF, is having a run of success recently in international salons, where he has won no less than five awards in salons in India, Montenegro and Serbia. His success continue Mallow Camera Club&#8217;s long-standing tradition of success in regional, national and international competition. Two awards were won by Bill&#8217;s image &#8216;U Rock My Socks&#8217;. [&hellip;]</p>

<p>We had a super turn out at our first meeting back after the summer break. The club programme for the year ahead was outlined by the club chairman, Bill Power, and by the vice-chair, Viv Buckley, who did trojan work pulling it all together. <p>Bill Power has won two more international awards, this time from the international salon of art photography &#8216;Prokova Photovernissage 2015&#8217; in the Ukraine. There were over 4,500 entries in the competition. He was awarded a silver medal in the Creative Photo Art category for &#8216;A Secret Place&#8217; and an honourable mention in the landscape section for &#8216;Trees [&hellip;]</p>

<p>&nbsp; Mallow Camera Club is hosting a full-day Photoshop Skills Workshop with UK Photographer, Irene Froy EFIAP, MPAGB, HonPAGB, who is a leading proponent of creativity through photography and photoshop. The workshop will be held in the Mercy Centre, Fair Street, Mallow on Sunday 27th September. All photographers from neighbouring clubs and our own members [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Mallow Photographer of the Year 2015 Mallow Camera Club had an enjoyable Photographer of the Year Party, with wine, cakes and a festive mood adding to the highlight of the club&#8217;s year. POTY is definitely one of the highlights of the club&#8217;s year and, as one might expect, we had a full house on the [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Mallow Camera Club had some excellent results today at the SACC Inter-Club Competition where we were delighted to take third with our Colour Panel and joint Second with our Projected Image Panel.
