Mallow Camera Club was delighted to welcome an excellent attendance at our Open Night on Tuesday, 9th September.

Mallow Camera Club will hold a Photography Exhibition at Mallow Library in conjunction with Mallow Arts Festival.

The exhibition of members’ images will run from 16th July to 30th July.

MCC achieved 10th place in the recent IPF Club Championships—well done to everyone involved! A big thank you to the selection committee for their dedication, and congratulations to all the photographers whose images were chosen for the panels.

The results of the monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 19th May. The theme for the competition was ‘Freeze: Action, Movement, Sport’, with each entrant submitting 3 digital entries.

The results of the March 2025 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday, April 7th. This month’s theme was “Patterns / Minimalist / Simplicity,” with each participant submitting three digital images.

The results of the January 2025 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 10th February. The theme for the competition was ‘Beauty of all Ages, with each entrant submitting 3 digital entries.

The awards ceremony for the Photographer of the Year Competition, hosted by Mallow Camera Club, took place during the Dinner & Awards Evening at Springfort Hall on Monday, 25th November 2024.

We are delighted with our results from the Irish Photographic Federation’s National Shield 2024 competition which was held in Drogheda on 9th November. The competition, for non-advanced photographers, attracted mono and colour print panels from 22 camera clubs across Ireland.

The results of the September 2024 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 14th October. The theme for the competition was ‘Open / The Natural World’, with each entrant submitting 3 digital entries.

Mallow Camera Club’s annual League for the 2023-2024 season concluded with our April 2024 competition. This year’s themes were ‘Mono’, ‘Strike a Pose’, ‘Leading Lines’, ‘Minimalist’, ‘Sport / Action’, ‘The Natural World’, and ‘Creative Techniques’.

The results of the April 2024 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 29th April. The theme for the competition was ‘Creative Techniques’, with each entrant submitting 3 digital entries.

Congratulations to our club member, Lisa Egan (AIPF), on achieving her Associateship from the Irish Photographic Federation in Portlaoise on Saturday 16th March.

Mallow Camera Club held the judging of its February League competition on Monday 11th March. The competition theme was “Sport / Action,” with each entrant submitting three digital images.

The World Cup for Camera Club's is an international competition organised yearly by the FIAP, dedicated to Photographic Camera Club's from around the world. Each camera club submits 20 Images, with a maximum of 2 images per photographer. These images are then judged and scored by a panel of international judges.

Mallow Camera Club’s annual League for the 2024–2025 season wrapped up with the April 2025 competition, and the results were announced at our final meeting at the end of May.

Mallow Camera Club was proud to honour Pat Sheehan for his remarkable contribution to the club over the past 39 years.

Judging and the announcement of winners for Mallow Camera Club’s prestigious Image of the Year 2024/25 Competition took place on Monday night, April 28th.

The results of the February 2025 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 10th March. The theme for the competition was ‘See Red’, with each entrant submitting 3 digital entries.

The results of the December 2024 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 6th January. The theme for the competition was ‘Zoom In/ Macro/ Close Up’, with each entrant submitting 3 digital entries.

A very big congratulations to club member Barry Murphy who was successful in obtaining his Licentiateship.

At a recent meeting of Mallow Camera Club, John Hooton, a long-standing and founding member, was honoured with the Brendan Walkin Memorial Award for his Outstanding Service to Irish Photography. This award is the highest accolade bestowed by the Irish Photographic Federation. 

Congratulations to our club member, Tony Coakley, on achieving his Licentiateship from the Irish Photographic Federation in Mullingar on Saturday 18th May.
