<p>Our April competition marks the end of our League competition for the 2019-2020 season, which comprises of a total of seven monthly competitions. There is a huge amount of administration in a competition like this and MCC&#8217;s Competition Secretary and Assistant Competition Secretary, Neil O&#8217; Mullane and Lisa Egan did a tremendous job on all [&hellip;]</p>

<p>The Theme for April was &#8221; Open Theme &#8221; meaning any genre, while complying fully with Covid-19 restrictions. The competition was judged by the well-known and distinguished photographers Cian O&#8217;Mahony AIPF APIAP and David Harris AIPF. Cian &amp; David put in a huge effort and did a fantastic job of the judging for us. They [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Mallow Camera Club are delighted to announce that we had 4 Club Members , Justyna Trzesicka , Philip Kerins, Vincent Higgins and Kieran Mangan successful in their LIPF Distinctions which were held in Portlaoise on February 29th 2020. we are very proud of your brilliant achievement. <p>The results of the February 2020 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 24th February 2020. The theme for the competition was &#8220;Framed&#8221;, with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries. The competition was judged by Kaye English FCC. and Seamus Mulcahy LIPF of Blarney Photography Club who did an excellent job [&hellip;]</p>

<p>The results of the January 2020 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 3rd February 2020. The theme for the competition was &#8220;Emotion&#8221;, with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries. The competition was judged by Derville Conroy Kilkenny CC &amp; John Doheny MCC. who did an excellent job of scoring and [&hellip;]</p>

<p>At our MCC Annual Dinner on December 9th 2019 in The Springfort Hall Hotel, Rory O Connor from Blarney Camera Club and on behalf of the SACC presented our esteemed colleague Colman Culhane with The Peter Slattery Memorial Award. <p>Congratulations and well done to MCC Members Breda O Mullane, Donal Murphy, Janusz Trzesicki, Justyna Trzesicka, Vincent Higgins, and Jim Mc Sweeney on winning Medals and Honourable Mentions at The SACC Photographer of the Year and Nature Photographer of the Year Regional Round which was held in The Horse &amp; Jockey on Saturday 25th 2020 [&hellip;]</p>

<p>The announcement of winners and presentation of awards for our Photographer of the Year Competition (POTY) 2019 took place on Monday 27th May 2019. For the competition, each entrant submitted 4 mono prints and 4 colour prints, which were presented for judging as a panel and scored individually over four grades, with Grade 4 being [&hellip;]</p>

<p>The overall winners of our annual League Competition for the 2018/ 2019 season were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 15th April 2019. The league consists of monthly competitions held from September through April, with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries and the competition being judged by two external judges. <p>The members of Mallow Camera Club held a fundraising children&#8217;s photo-shoot day in Mourneabbey Community Centre recently. Photographers Michelle La Grue and Fran Byrne came from Dublin to run the teaching workshop with our members and to help with the lighting set-ups and posing. <p>We&#8217;re delighted to announce the following awards to MCC members at the IPF Nature Photographer of the Year and Photographer of the Year 2018/2019 Competitions, which were held in Carlow this weekend: Nature Photographer of the Year: Vincent Higgins: Gold Medal in Projected Open Non-Advanced, for &#8220;Just Captured&#8221;. <p>Vivien BUckley’s Exhibition titled &#8220;Portraits and Places&#8221;, an eclectic mix of 34 images of photography and digital art, opened in Cork County Library on 1st February 2019. Launching the exhibition was Cllr. Bernard Moynihan, Chairperson of the Kanturk Mallow Municipal District. Cllr Moynihan particularly liked one of Viv’s pieces, Snow Day Kanturk, which was shot [&hellip;]</p>

<p>We&#8217;re delighted to announce another fantastic result for our members from the SACC Nature Photographer of the Year competition, which was held today at the Cabragh Wetlands Centre.
