<p>IRENE FROY returns to Mallow Camera Club next Monday at 8pm where she will give a talk showing some of her most recent and successful images. Her workshop for the club last Monday was attended by over thirty photographers from as far away as Louth, Dublin, Wexford, Clare, Waterford, Tipperary, Kerry and local camera club [&hellip;]</p>

<p>&nbsp; Mallow Camera Club is hosting a full-day Photoshop Skills Workshop with UK Photographer, Irene Froy EFIAP, MPAGB, HonPAGB, who is a leading proponent of creativity through photography and photoshop. <p>Mallow Camera Club had some excellent results today at the SACC Inter-Club Competition where we were delighted to take third with our Colour Panel and joint Second with our Projected Image Panel. Overall, Mallow took fourth place in the competition. There was some fantastic photography on display in the competition. We were honoured to keep [&hellip;]</p>

<p>In 1973 MCC member Pat Heavin was living and working in Waterford when film director Stanley Kubrick and a host of well-known actors descended on the area to make the film Barry Lyndon. Among the actors was heartthrob Ryan O’Neal who had come to prominence in the film Love Story released a few years before. [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Neily Curtin has achieved his Associateship of the Irish Photographic Federation (AIPF) at the September distinctions sitting in Waterford on Saturday 14 September. Neily’s superb panel titled &#8216;Mesmerised by the Flow&#8217; consisted of fifteen prints each depicting flowing water.  All the images were taken on his farm at Rockchapel, in North West Cork and certainly [&hellip;]</p>

<p>There was a great start to the new Mallow Camera Club photographic season on Monday night in the Mercy Centre.  Club Chairman, Bill Power, welcomed everyone back after the summer and said he was delighted to see a full house with both familiar and new faces. <p>As a follow up to the highly successful lecture by Joe Cornish last October I am now delighted to announce that Mr. Tony Worobiec will be doing a lecture and workshop in Mallow on the weekend 26th/27th February 2010. Tony is a leading Black and White photographer and an expert in digital black and white [&hellip;]</p>

<p>At the recent East Antrim Open Photographic Competition, John Hooton of Mallow Camera Club won the Gold Medal for the best image in the competition. This award, from the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain (PAGB) is much sought after in the photographic world.  John’s Gold Medal winning image was in black and white, which is [&hellip;]</p>

<p>The club got off to a great start at this weekends IPF National Club Finals when club members John Hogan, Bríd Coakley and Morgan O&#8217;Neill all achieved photographic distinctions in the Saturday sitting. John Hogan gained his Licentiateship of the Irish Photographic Federation (LIPF) with a panel of ten colour images, representing a variety of [&hellip;]</p>

<p>On Sunday next, March 9th, a number of photographers will meet at The Lough in Cork for a photowalk around this scenic area. <p>Mallow Camera Club members Denise O&#8217;Connor and Seán O&#8217;Riordan travelled to South Africa last November to work with the Niall Mellon Township Trust. Both worked extremely hard but managed to take some photographs to document their experiences on the trip. <p>It has been another great weekend for the club.  Following on from the recent successes in the SACC Nature Competitons, the club and club members have scored more wins over the last few days. On Saturday club members travelled to Dublin to participate in the IPF National Print and Projected Image competition.  Veteran club member John Hooton won a Gold Medal [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Last December 3rd, ten members of the club travelled up to Cahir to attend the SACC AGM and Print &amp; Slide Competition.
