<p>Welcome to image alignment! The best way to demonstrate the ebb and flow of the various image positioning options is to nestle them snuggly among an ocean of words. <p>The annual SACC Nature competition will take place next Sunday the 15th of January 2012. There are, unlike all other competitions, only two categories in it, i.e colour prints and colour projected images. This years competition is being hosted by Limerick and District Photographic Society it will be held in The Kilmurry Lodge Hotel, Castletroy, [&hellip;]</p>

<p>On Monday the 12th of December club members will be meeting outside the Opera House in Cork at 7pm. The group will then spread around the the city taking night shots. A great opportunity for new members to learn how to capture night images. Also a good chance for some of the more experienced members to [&hellip;]</p>

<p>&nbsp; Mallow pulled out all the stops last Sunday the 22nd of November in t he SACC Print and Projected Images competition. With a huge turnout from all over Munster and South Leinster, Mallow were amongst the winners in all the major categories.   &nbsp; The first category &#8216;Color Prints&#8217; saw our own John Hooton taking [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Mallow put forward two panels in the Shield competition last Sunday the 13th of November. Our chairman Barry Linehan and our competition secretary Neilly Curtin travelled to Ballyfermot early Sunday morning to put up the panels. Neilly also roped in some members of his family to help hang the images. Mallow put in a strong [&hellip;]</p>

<p>John Hooton  has once again proved that he is among the top international photographers. At the 7th Salon Mondail of Photography De Limours John took the top prize in the colour section and in doing so won a F.I.A.P. Gold Medal for his panel of four images. Nearly 1,000 photographers entered this competition with only [&hellip;]</p>

<p>The annual SACC Print and Projected images competition will take place on Sunday the 20th of November in the Kilcoran Lodge, Cahir,  Co. Tipperary. The competition is a qualifier for the annual competition. There are three section, Colour Print, Mono (black/white) print and  Projected Images. Each competitor can enter 3 images in each section. <p>Congratulations to everyone who entered the club competition last Monday. The mono (black/white) competition was a 3 way tie between Rodney O&#8217;Callaghan, Denis O&#8217;Leary and Vivian Buckley. The colour competition was a 2 way tie between Paki O Donoghue and Vivian Buckley, while Rodney O Callaghan and James Heffernan renewed their intense rivalry battling it out for third [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Weather permitting we will have a night shoot on Monday 21st November at Bridgetown Abbey in Castletownroche. Photographers should bring tripods if they have one, warm clothes and it would be no harm to bring a plastic bag to put over your camera if we have a sudden shower. <p>Morgan who has been consistently been amongst the top competitors in recent years continues apace  in the Irish Met.Society  national photographic competition. Morgan&#8217;s image of &#8220;Black Valley House&#8221; achieving 3rd place and will form part of the exhibition at the National Botanic Gardens from the 10th -18th November. <p>First there will be no meeting this bank holiday Monday (31/10/2011), as is the norm for bankholidays. The following Monday the 7th of November we will have a change to the calendar, and there will be an open competition for all members. There will be 3 catogories, colour print, mono (black &amp; white) print and [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Members are asked to bring along a couple of images to be critiqued(including those taken at the Model Shoot) on Monday 17th. We will also have the opportunity to see the images submitted for the Shield Panel. The John Hooton Workshop due to be held on Monday 17th October has been rescheduled to a later [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Thanks to Geraldine Dennehy for organising the models and Dave lavery for the use of his lights and helping with the shoot last Moday week. The club had a very enjoyable night. <p>Des Clinton of Drogheda Camera Club entertained a large crowd last Monday night with a selection of quality images taken over the past thirty years. Thanks to the organisers for what proved to be a very entertaining evening.</p>

<p>Bill Power is currently holding an exhibition of his images titled &#8220;Beyond the Horizon&#8221; at the new library in Mitchelstown. All are more than welcome to come and see Bill&#8217;s Exhibition.</p>

<p>The Carlton Hotel Group and Dr. Michael Martin&#8217;s &#8216; Titanic Trail&#8217; are holding a competition called the &#8216;Cork Harbour Legacy &amp; Legends Photographic Competition&#8217;. The competition is opened to all Munster based camera clubs, focusing on different aspects of Cork Harbour. They have devided the competion into four catagories. 1. Ecclesiastical/Historical ; 2.Architectural/Military; 3.Flora/Fauna; 4.Seascapes/Seashore. [&hellip;]</p>
