<p>Mallow Camera Club held a Charity Night on 14th June 2021 in aid of Special Friends, Mitchelstown. The event was held over Zoom, with an excellent attendance of members. <p>Mallow Camera Club’s annual League for the 2020-2021 season concluded with our May 2021 competition. This year’s League consisted of seven monthly competitions, some themed and the final three with an Open theme. Members submitted three digital images to each monthly competition and the competitions were judged by highly qualified and experienced Irish and UK [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Mallow Camera Club had a fantastic result from the Southern Association of Camera Club’s (SACC) Interclub Cup 2021 competition.This is an annual competition run by the SACC, and this year’s competition was run as a digital-only competition, with each club entering a colour panel and a mono panel of 10 images each. <p>This was our last League competition of the 2020-2021 Season. Theme: Open Judge: Bob Given MPAGB EFIAP EPSA FBPE; a member of Catchlight Camera club. Bob did an excellent job of judging this competition for us, providing commentary which was particularly positive and encouraging on all 84 images. Bob also very generously waived his fee [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Theme: Open Judge: Carol McNiven Young FRPS EFIAP BPE4* CPAGBFrom Nottingham, Carol is an N&amp;EMPF-approved judge and also an RPS assessor. She is a member of Newark &amp; District and Rolls Royce (Derby) Photographic Societies.Carol did a fantastic job of judging this competition for us. <p>Judging of entries and the announcement of awards for Mallow Camera Club&#8217;s Image of the year 2020-2021 Competition took place on 1st February 2021 via Zoom. This year&#8217;s competition also included the inaugural John Doheny Perpetual Trophy. This was introduced to honour the memory of John Doheny, a much- respected colleague and one of the [&hellip;]</p>

<p>This is Mallow Camera Club&#8217;s most prestigious competition of our annual season, and this years competition has not disappointed, with some fantastic talent on show. Normally this would be a print competition with 4 mono and 4 Colour prints entered, however, this year we had to yield to COVID and make it a digital only [&hellip;]</p>

<p>The theme for November was &#8220;Open Mono&#8221; meaning any genre, while complying fully with COVID- 19 restrictions. The competition was judged by the well known and distinguished photographer Dan Geary AIPF from Cork Camera Group. Dan put in a huge effort and did a fantastic job of the judging for us. Dan provided precise, clear [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Theme &#8220;My Homeland&#8221; Aidan Ryan AIPF (Limerick Camera Club) and Mark Gorman LIPF (Blarney Photography Club) judged our competition. Both Judges gave excellent and helpful feedback on each image which was very much appreciated. Huge congrats to the winners and a special thanks to everybody who put in the effort to enter especially in these [&hellip;]</p>

<p>The theme was &#8220;Stay at Home&#8221; Open &gt;&gt;&gt; any Genre. An Informal Competition for a bit of fun and a distraction. Images must have been taken within the COVID-19 restrictions, complying with social distancing. At Home or in your garden, in the farm, within the 2km exercise limit, or within the revised limits issued by [&hellip;]</p>

<p>He was a man of great integrity and a gentleman in every way and a true advocate for Irish Photography. His ill health took its toll over the past few years but it did not diminish John&#8217;s great love for Mallow Camera Club and everything to do with photography. John was a founder member of [&hellip;]</p>

<p>Our April competition marks the end of our League competition for the 2019-2020 season, which comprises of a total of seven monthly competitions. There is a huge amount of administration in a competition like this and MCC&#8217;s Competition Secretary and Assistant Competition Secretary, Neil O&#8217; Mullane and Lisa Egan did a tremendous job on all [&hellip;]</p>

The theme for the competition was &#8220;Framed&#8221;, with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries.
