Mallow Camera Club are delighted to announce that we had 4 Club Members , Justyna Trzesicka , Philip Kerins, Vincent Higgins and Kieran Mangan successful in their LIPF Distinctions which were held in Portlaoise on February 29th 2020. we are very proud of your brilliant achievement. The results of the February 2020 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 24th February 2020. The theme for the competition was “Framed”, with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries.

The competition was judged by Niall Browen. AIPF EFIAP. and John Finn. ARPS. who did an excellent job of scoring and providing very useful feedback on the entries. Many thanks to Niall and John for their excellent contribution.

The results of the October 2019 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 21st October 2019. The theme for the competition was “Mono Portraiture”, with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries.

The announcement of winners and presentation of awards for our Photographer of the Year Competition (POTY) 2019 took place on Monday 27th May 2019.

The results of the April 2019 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 15th April 2019. The theme for the competition was "After Dark", with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries.

The results of the November 2018 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday. The theme for the competition was "Mono", with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries.

The results of the October 2018 monthly league competition were announced at our recent weekly meeting. The theme for the competition was "Movement/ Action”, with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries.

The results of the September 2018 monthly competition were announced at our weekly meeting on 24th September 2018. The theme for the competition was "Open”, with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries.

The results of the November 2019 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 18th November 2019. The theme for the competition was “Doom & Gloom, November, or Halloween”, with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries.

The results of the September 2019 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 23rd September 2019. The theme for the competition was “Open”, with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries.

The overall winners of our annual League Competition for the 2018/ 2019 season were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 15th April 2019. The league consists of monthly competitions held from September through April, with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries and the competition being judged by two external judges. The overall winners are those entrants who achieve the highest aggregate scores in each grade, with Grade 4 being most advanced, over all the monthly competitions.

The results of the March  2019 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 25th March 2019. The theme for the competition was "Animals", with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries.

Vivien Buckley's Exhibition titled “Portraits and Places”, an eclectic mix of 34 images of photography and digital art, opened in Cork County Library on 1st February 2019.

The announcement of winners and presentation of prizes for Mallow Camera Club's Image of the Year Competition took place at a very enjoyable Christmas Dinner & Awards evening in Springfort Hall on Monday 17th December 2018.

We are delighted with our results from the Irish Photographic Federation National Shield Competition, which was held in Palmerstown on Sunday 18th November 2018 and which attracted entries from 27 clubs.

Mallow Camera Club hosted the official launch of John Hooton's new book, 'Ireland – The Way We Were', at a full-house event at the Mercy Centre, Mallow on Monday evening 22nd October 2018. The event also featured an exhibition of selected prints from the book.

We were delighted to celebrate our own Julia Trzesicka being awarded her Licentiateship (LIPF) at the IPF distinctions session in Carlow last weekend.
