John put in a huge effort in the scoring and commentary on the images, including about six

hours preparatory work and nearly two more hours on the recorded scoring and

commentary. John’s commentary was top class, with generous praise for exceptional

images and excellent detailed suggestions for improving images where appropriate, all done

with professionalism, humour and consideration for the author’s intent in the images. A

fantastic judge and a real gentleman to deal with. Thank you very much John.

John also very generously waived his fee for judging, requesting that we donate his fee

instead to a local charity instead. Accordingly, we have made a donation to Cope
