January League Competition: "Creative Techniques."

Mallow Camera Club held the live judging of its February League competition via Zoom. The competition theme was “Creative,” with each entrant submitting three digital images.

Photographer of the Year 2021

Mallow Camera Club announced the winners of its Photographer of the Year 2020-2021 Competition. The competition, which is the Club’s premier competition of the season, attracted a substantial entry with competitors submitting a panel of three monochrome images and three colour digital images. The images are judges individually, rather than as a panel.

Mallow Camera Club held its second League competition of the 2021-2022 season in October. The competition theme was “Monochrome” with each entrant submitting three digital images.

Special Friends Mitchelstown Presentation

Mallow Camera Club held a Charity Night on 14th June 2021 in aid of Special Friends, Mitchelstown.  The event was held over Zoom, with an excellent attendance of members.

Viv Buckley earns Fellowship, FIFP

Mallow Camera Club Member, Viv Buckley, Achieves Fellowship of the Irish Photographic Federation

Viv Buckley, a long-standing member of Mallow Camera Club, is celebrating the award of the highest distinction that the Irish Photographic Federation (IPF) awards, i.e. Fellowship of the Irish Photographic Federation (FIPF).

Image of the Year 2021

Judging of entries and the announcement of awards for Mallow Camera Club’s Image of the year 2020-2021 Competition took place on 1st February 2021 via Zoom. This year’s competition also included the inaugural John Doheny Perpetual Trophy.

Overall League 2019-2020 Results

Our April competition marks the end of our League competition for the 2019-2020 season, which comprises of a total of seven monthly competitions. There is a huge amount of administration in a competition like this and MCC’s Competition Secretary and Assistant Competition Secretary, Neil O’ Mullane and Lisa Egan did a tremendous job on all our Monthly Competitions during the 2019- 2020 Season.

The results of the January 2020 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 3rd February 2020. The theme for the competition was “Emotion”, with each entrant submitting 4 digital entries.

League September 2021 Natural Waterscapes

Mallow Camera Club held its first League competition of the 2021-2022 season in September. The competition theme was “Natural Waterscapes…From a Puddle to an Ocean,” with each entrant submitting three digital images, all of which had to be taken in 2021.

Mallow Camera Club’s annual League for the 2020-2021 season concluded with our May 2021 competition. This year’s League consisted of seven monthly competitions, some themed and the final three with an Open theme.

SACC Interclub Cup 2021 Success

Mallow Camera Club had a fantastic result from the Southern Association of Camera Club’s (SACC) Interclub Cup 2021 competition.This is an annual competition run by the SACC, and this year’s competition was run as a digital-only competition, with each club entering a colour panel and a mono panel of 10 images each.

Photographer of the Year 2020

This is Mallow Camera Club’s most prestigious competition of our annual season, and this years competition has not disappointed, with some fantastic talent on show. Normally this would be a print competition with 4 mono and 4 Colour prints entered, however, this year we had to yield to COVID and make it a digital only competition.

League June 2020 Theme: Stay at Home

An Informal Competition for a bit of fun and a distraction. Images must have been taken within the COVID-19 restrictions, complying with social distancing. At Home or in your garden, in the farm, within the 2km exercise limit, or within the revised limits issued by authorities Images had to be taken after the 9th March 2020.
