A very big congratulations to club member Niamh Barrett (LIPF) who was successful in obtaining her Licentiateship.

At a recent meeting of Mallow Camera Club, John Hooton, a long-standing and founding member, was honoured with the Brendan Walkin Memorial Award for his Outstanding Service to Irish Photography. This award is the highest accolade bestowed by the Irish Photographic Federation. 

Congratulations to our club member, Tony Coakley, on achieving his Licentiateship from the Irish Photographic Federation in Mullingar on Saturday 18th May.

The results of the March 2024 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 8th April. The theme for the competition was ‘The Natural World’, with each entrant submitting 3 digital entries.

A very big congratulations to club member Bella Daly (LIPF) who was successful in obtaining her Licentiateship from the Irish Photographic Federation in Portlaoise on Saturday 16th March.

Mallow Camera Club held the judging of its January League competition via Zoom on Monday 29th January. The competition theme was “Minimalist,” with each entrant submitting three digital images.

The results of the January 2024 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 8th January. The theme for the competition was ‘Leading Lines’, with each entrant submitting 3 digital entries.

The awards ceremony and prize presentation for the Photographer of the Year Competition hosted by Mallow Camera Club took place at the Dinner & Awards evening held at Springfort Hall on Monday 20th November 2023.

The results of the October 2023 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 23rd October. The theme for the competition was ‘Strike a Pose’, with each entrant submitting 3 digital entries.

A very big congratulations to club member Helen Vaughan (LIPF) who was successful in obtaining her Licentiate from the Irish Photographic Federation in Portlaoise on Saturday 30th September.

Congratulations for Catchlight Camera Club, Drogheda Photographic Club and Blarney Photography Club  who were 1st, 2nd & 3rd in the Irish Photographic Federation Club Championships.

Mallow Camera Club held the live judging of its April League competition via Zoom on Monday 8th May. The competition theme was ‘Creative / Still Life’ with each entrant submitting three digital images.

Mallow Camera Club held the live judging of its December League competition via Zoom. The competition theme was “ Bird’s Bees and Nature,” with each entrant submitting three digital images.

We're delighted with our results from the Irish Photographic Federation's National Shield Digital 2022 competition which was held in the Horse & Jockey, Thurles, Co. Tipperary on November 26th. The competition, for non-advanced photographers, attracted mono and colour print panels from 23 camera clubs across Ireland.

Mallow Camera Club’s annual League for the 2023-2024 season concluded with our April 2024 competition. This year’s themes were ‘Mono’, ‘Strike a Pose’, ‘Leading Lines’, ‘Minimalist’, ‘Sport / Action’, ‘The Natural World’, and ‘Creative Techniques’.

The results of the April 2024 monthly league competition were announced at our weekly meeting on Monday 29th April. The theme for the competition was ‘Creative Techniques’, with each entrant submitting 3 digital entries.

Congratulations to our club member, Lisa Egan (AIPF), on achieving her Associateship from the Irish Photographic Federation in Portlaoise on Saturday 16th March.

Mallow Camera Club held the judging of its February League competition on Monday 11th March. The competition theme was “Sport / Action,” with each entrant submitting three digital images.

The World Cup for Camera Club's is an international competition organised yearly by the FIAP, dedicated to Photographic Camera Club's from around the world. Each camera club submits 20 Images, with a maximum of 2 images per photographer. These images are then judged and scored by a panel of international judges.

Congratulations to our MCC members for their outstanding participation in the IPF National Shield last Saturday, hosted by Drogheda Photographic Club at the Barbican.

Mallow Camera Club held the live judging of its January 2023 League Competition via Zoom. The competition theme was “ A Different Viewpoint” with each entrant submitting three digital images.

The World Cup for Camera Club’s is an International Competition organised yearly by the FIAP, dedicated to Photographic Camera Club’s from around The World. Each Camera Club submits 20 Images, with a maximum of 2 images per photographer. These images are then judged and scored by a panel of International Judges.

The announcement of winners and presentation of prizes for Mallow Camera Club’s Photographer of the Year Competition took place at a very enjoyable Dinner & Awards evening in Springfort Hall on Monday 14th November 2022.
