The announcement of winners and presentation of awards for our Photographer of the Year 2018 Competition took place on Monday 14th May 2018.

A new format was adopted for this year's POTY competition, with each entrant submitting a panel of 4 mono prints and 4 colour prints.

We were privileged to have three top class judges for the competition: 

Dominic Reddin FIPF, President of the Irish Photographic Federation

Mike Browne of Platform 3

Cian O'Mahoney AIPF from Blarney Photography Club

The competition was judged on Sunday 13th May, with the judges individually reviewing each panel and scoring each image within the panels.

Dominic, Mike and Cian put in a huge effort...alongwith scoring each image, they each provided a comment sheet for every panel, with comments on each individual image and the panel overall. It was hugely appreciated by all the entrants to receive such detailed, quality feedback from such experienced and respected photographers. Thank you very much Dominic, Mike and Cian.

The Overall Photographer of the Year 2018 was awarded to Janusz Trzesicki, who also took home awards for Best 4 Mono Images Overall, 1st Place Grade 3 POTY, 1st Place Grade 3 Mono Panel and 3rd Place Grade 3 Colour Panel. Congratulations Janusz...very well deserved.
