Photographer of the Year 2016

23 May 2016

Photographer of the Year 2016

Great fun, food and photography at our Photographer of the Year 2016 competition last evening. Thanks to our judges Ann Frances AIPF, EFIAP, Jason Town FIAP AFIAP and Cian O'Mahony AIPF,AFIAP who worked very hard all evening judging the colour print, mono print and projected images sections of the competition.

The winners of the different section were announced on the night but the overall Photographer of the year and the formal presentations of the trophies will take place at the 30th Anniversary dinner in September.

Thanks to Paul Tips and Neily Curtin our competition secretaries for all their hard work preparing for the competition and adding up the scores at the end. The photographers are divided into 3 grades for competition grade 1 being the entry grade and grade 3 the highest grade, this gives everyone a chance to succeed in competition competing with members of a similar standard of photography.

Also present on the night to help with presentations at this 30th Photographer of the Year competition were founder members of the club Pat Sheehan, Colman Culhane,Tim Geary, John Doheny and John Hooton.
